Top 5 Business Apps Performance in South America, Q3 2024

The third quarter of 2024 revealed intriguing trends in the performance of the top business apps on a unified platform in South America. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps demonstrated significant variations in downloads and active users.

Microsoft Teams, developed by Microsoft Corporation, saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 247K in early July and peaking at approximately 474K in the first week of September. This rise was mirrored in the weekly active users, which grew from about 2.1M to 2.6M by the end of the quarter.

Zoom Workplace from zoom.us showed a steady revenue stream, maintaining figures between $35K and $45K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at 468K in late September, while active users remained robust, fluctuating around 3.5M to 3.6M.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting from 184K in early July and settling around 146K by the end of September. However, the app maintained a consistent level of active users, hovering around 2.4M throughout the quarter.

LinkedIn: Jobs & Business News reported stable revenue, ranging from $266K to $294K. The app's weekly downloads remained consistent, averaging around 145K, while active users increased steadily, culminating in approximately 5.8M by the quarter's end.

Finally, Minha Claro Móvel by Claro Brasil showed an upward trajectory in downloads, beginning at 158K and reaching 182K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated, starting at 2.7M, dipping mid-quarter, and rising again to 2.7M by the end of the period.
